What is the WhatsApp Business App?
The mobile and desktop application for small businesses to communicate with customers using a business profile, catalog, labels, quick replies, and greeting tools.
Why is this important?
The app is the simplest human-operated business surface and should not be confused with a server-side integration platform.
How it works
People send messages from the app or linked devices. Business metadata and local tools organize work, while Coexistence can connect an eligible number to Cloud API.
Technical example
A store owner answers from the phone, uses labels and quick replies, then adds Coexistence so the CRM can log threads and automate selected follow-ups.
Implementation notes
Plan device access, backups, operator ownership, history, catalog behavior, and which app features are not exposed through API or Coexistence.
