What is Slackbot?
Slack's built-in personal AI agent for finding workspace information, preparing for meetings, analyzing documents, organizing work, and taking actions through Slack's conversations, knowledge, workflows, and connected applications.
Why is this important?
Slackbot places an agent inside the collaboration surface where company conversations already happen. Frontline Max also works in Slack, but adds continuity across desktop, WhatsApp, and Teams plus a native CRM, customer memory, Workflows, and customer-facing AI employees.
How it works
A user converses with Slackbot inside Slack. The agent uses accessible workspace messages, files, knowledge, workflows, and integrations to answer questions, plan work, and execute supported actions.
Technical example
Slackbot can prepare a meeting brief from workspace context. Frontline Max can combine Slack context with customer records, deals, issues, meetings, WhatsApp conversations, and governed next actions in the AI CRM.
Implementation notes
Workspace plan, permissions, retention, connected app scope, and Slack governance determine available context. Treat channel history as collaboration context, not automatically as a structured customer system of record.
